Understanding Markkët Content Types & Attributes

Your online presence exists with your awareness or without, specially as a business. Having a website associated to your brand helps you provide authoritative information and engagement with your audience.

Many people launch websites every day, and yet many people remain offline; data indicates that a website offers an advantage for your brand and revenue.

Posting your pictures, stories and products helps you develop an audience and extend what you share in social media. Success comes from iterations and a disciplined journey.

Our dashboard helps you get started and become familiar with the platform, and later upgrade to hosting in your own domain with personalized templates.

Your Creative Hub

The first time you access the dashboard you'll find welcome and onboarding screens, with some links to the following steps.

Start by creating a store by adding a name short description and slug

Understanding Slugs

A slug is just a web-friendly name that becomes part of your page’s URL. It’s how your content is addressed on the internet.

For example:

Pages: /about/:page_slug → /about/team

Articles: /blog/:article_slug → /blog/behind-the-scenes

Products: /products/:product_slug → /products/santo-cabron-stickers

You can customize them for clarity or SEO purposes. A clean, descriptive slug makes your links more memorable and easier to share.

Storefront Pages

Your base store url is something like de.markket.place/store/:store_slug

It is your public storefront that you can share as a landing page. To personalize it you can create special pages in your dashboard with specific slugs:

home → Your store landing page

about → Tell your story, philosophy, or mission

products → Showcase your catalog

newsletter → Invite people to subscribe and follow

blog → Publish updates, behind-the-scenes, or tips

If any of these pages are missing, Markkët will display a default layout, but adding your own content makes your store stand out with your brand.

Start by uploading images and previewing your home page, this is often the first impression visitors will get of your brand.

SEO & Metadata Basics

Some content types come with SEO fields. This lets you control how your pages appear to:

Search engines (Google, Bing…)

Web crawlers (for indexing and ranking)

Social media embeds (when someone shares your link on Instagram, X, or WhatsApp)

Fill in titles, descriptions, and image metadata thoughtfully. This can help a lot with discoverability.

Content Marketing & Branding

A catalogue is more than products, brands express themselves with their editorial and multimedia decisions.

Try to find a balance by thoughtful and consisten with your ideas, it will allow you to experiment dramatically without losing authenticity.

Use the pages and articles so that visitors can quickly tell whether you're an artist, consultant, or small business owner. Consider starting by writing about your mission and defined guidelines, to:

Build trust and familiarity

Share your values and style

Create a consistent presence across all channels

Your about page is a conversation starter, the blog is a storytelling space, and the products enable transactions. We're trying to keep a simple structure to serve as your framework.
